The Beauty Of Androgyny

Everyone deserves to have a good vest in their wardrobe.  Let me tell you why: a good vest, depending on styling, can send a really amazing message.  To mention a few, it can say that you mean business, you know how to layer like a boss, or, my personal favorite, you embrace the beauty of androgyny.  Gender stereotypes permeate many areas of our society.  I believe we through personal style can help break down these bogus life guidelines of who you should be or how you should live based on your gender.  Gender holds no more weight than race, nationality, sexual orientation, age, etc (goes on the list of prejudice of the past and present).  In this day and age, we fortunately have the freedom to present ourselves however we wish.  So I propose to all of you: dress consciously.  I don't mean conservatively, appropriately, or anything like that.  Dress consciously.  This is your opportunity to tell the world that you are who you are and this is your life to live.  You rock that vest. You say what YOU want to say with your wardrobe.  

And when you put on that kickass vest, you take a look at yourself and thank the Universe for the progress we have made, for at one time, women were berated for 'menswear' and men crucified for 'womenswear.'
